The VIECC® Cosplay Central Crown Championships presented by FM4 will take place again this October in Vienna and one thing is already granted: It is one of the largest and most highly endowed contest in Europe! Why? Because this contest is a stop of the worldwide “Cosplay Central Crown Champions hips “ – the ReedPOP Global Championships of Cosplay. Be there when the battle for the crown begins on October 1, 2022.

Participation is possible in three categories:

Needlework
– Cosplay which was mainly made by sewing, basting and embroidery (needlework).
–
Armor
– Cosplay which was mainly produced by molding and modeling the outer layers using materials such as acrylic, EVA foam, Worbla, Wonderflex, Styrofoam, hobby plastic, cardboard, foam rubber, etc.
–
FX
– Cosplay which mainly consists of animatronics, optical effects, mechanical effects, special effect make-up, prostheses, etc.

- Exclusive VIECC® Cosplay Central Crown Championships presented by FM4 2022 trophy
- Participation in the Cosplay Central Crown Championship Finals at C2E2 Chicago in Spring 2023.
- 1×2 weekend passes for the C2E2 Chicago 2023

- The costs of excess and large baggage for transporting the competition-cosplay to Chicago (if neccessary)

How it works
VIECC® Cosplay Central Crown Championships presented by FM4, where pop culture is celebrated in its purest form! We reward craftsmanship, creativity, dedication, attention to detail and thus your love for the “nerd and geek culture”.
All participants are selected by a qualified jury in the preselection. In the final evaluation, a detailed “pre-judging” and your presentation on the stage in front of the largest audience in Europe flow into it.
All participants must represent a character or element of pop culture from comics, films & TV series, video games, anime & manga or fantasy.
Every applicant has to register using the application form and is only allowed to take part in the contest with a self-made costume.
All accepted participants will be judged by an international jury of experts at VIECC® Vienna Comic Con and will then compete against each other on the stage in the respective categories.
Each category awards a first place. The cosplay with the highest rating across all categories will then be chosen as “Best in Show” and thus receive the ultimate title of VIECC® Cosplay Central Crown Champion!
We will then send our champion and accompanying person to the C2E2 Chicago 2023, where he/she/they will compete with his/her/their cosplay against the finalists of the ReedPop Cosplay Central Crown Championships Circuits from all over the world.
