VIECC® Cosplay Championship Rules

Here you can find the rules for the VIECC® Cosplay Championships 2024!

Join us to celebrate the VIECC® Cosplay Championships with a prize pool of €3,000!

The VIECC® Cosplay Championships are aimed at national and international cosplayers and will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 as part of the Vienna Comic Con 2024!

At stake in these epic contests is a total of 3,000 in prize money divided among the top finishers. €1.500,- will be given to the 1st place, €750,- to the runner-up and €400,- for reaching the 3rd place!

In addition, there will be Judges Choice placements where winners can look forward to packages packed with great non-cash prizes.

The judges focus on the costume itself. There will be no categorizations. Emphasis in the evaluation is placed on the accurate reproduction of the original, the variety of techniques used, as well as their implementation.

Participation is possible from the age of 18, as long as the cosplay has not been awarded before. Contestants may enter other VIECC® contests with the same costume.

Information about the VIECC® Cosplay Championships 2024

VIECC® Cosplay Championships, where pop culture is celebrated in its purest form! We reward craftsmanship, creativity, dedication, attention to detail, and thus your love of “nerd and geek culture”.

Here you can find the rules for the contest.

Each applicant must register via registration form and may only participate in the contest with a homemade costume.

All contestants must portray a pop culture character or element from comics, movies, TV series, video games, anime, manga or fantasy.

Please fill out our application form completely.

Complete our application form by November 02, 2023.

All participants will be pre-selected by a qualified jury.

The final evaluation will include a detailed pre-judging and your presentation on stage in front of the largest audience in Europe.

After the pre-selection is completed, we will inform all finalists for the VIECC® Cosplay Championships.

The contest will take place on Saturday evening on our Main Stage in Hall A and is one of the biggest highlights of our event!
