Weapons and dangerous goods
Bringing weapons or objects that can be used as weapons, dangerous and explosive goods, and flammable liquids onto the exhibition grounds is strictly prohibited. For the use of cosplay weapons, please visit our FAQs.
Admission for children
Admission is free for children under 6 years old. Children under the age of 14 must have a valid children’s ticket and are only allowed if accompanied by an adult/guardian. It may be required by our staff (securitys, crew, …) on site ID.
Animals and pets not allowed
Animals and pets are not allowed on the premises! Exceptions are made for guide dogs for the blind (as defined in § 39a BBG). The owner must provide proof that the guide dog is registered in the disabled passport.
Smoking prohibited
Please note that smoking is only allowed in the specially designated outdoor smoking areas. These restrictions apply to all covered areas throughout the fairgrounds without exception.
Visitors with disabilities
Peaople with a disabled pass buy the appropriate ticket (day and age category), the accompanying person registered in the disabled person’s card will receive (on the same day) free admission to VIECC® (except all VIP ticket categories). Upon entry, please show your disability ID and also receive a medical badge (sticker for identification). With the Medical Badge you get easier and faster access to the Main Stage as well as to the autograph and photo area. If you have any questions, please contact our on-site team.
Photos & Filming
Photographs and videos may be taken on the premises of Messe Wien exclusively for private and non-commercial purposes. Anyone taking static or moving images is required to obtain the express permission of the exhibitor of the object in question or the person whose image is to be taken. Please ensure that the personal and data protection rights of the photographed or filmed persons are not violated by the further use of the images.
Covid Regulations
Currently, there are no legal measures. (as of March 2023) Please keep an eye on the instructions of the Federal Government of Austria as well as the City of Vienna. Since we expect several thousand visitors, we recommend wearing a mask on site for your own protection. Especially for high-risk patients.
Sustainability
As sustainability and because our environment is very important to us, we are not using one-way-carpets on the show floor since 2022 and have significantly fewer badges produced. You can help to keep the exhibition area clean by using the recycling garbage cans on site!
