Originally from Barcelona, Miki spent several years designing storyboards for television commercials, creating characters and backgrounds for video games (Hollywood Monsters 2, The Next Big Thing (Pendulo Studios), Broken Sword 5 (Revolution Software) and animation (Nocturna (Filmax Animation)) and creating concepts for feature films (The Impossible, A Monster Calls, both by J. Bayona). He then moved to Ireland to work at Cartoon Saloon Animation Studios, where he collaborated on Oscar-nominated films such as The Breadwinner and WolfWalkers, and also began working on his comic book series Warship Jolly Roger, of which four books were published and received international critical acclaim. He later moved to the emerging Chinese comics market, where he adapted “Providing to Humanity” by bestselling author Cixin Liu. He is currently working on a new Wonder Woman book and an adaptation of The Witcher video game for the U.S. and European markets. His comics are translated into several languages and he repeatedly collaborates with animation studios such as Laika, CartoonSaloon or Genndy Tartakovsky.
