Marvin Clifford lives and works in Berlin as a freelancer for various clients in advertising and business. After graduating in graphic design and completing numerous artistic workshops in performing and visual arts, Marvin now works as a concept artist and illustrator for the game industry, among others.
He became known for designing and co-developing the webcomic series “Shakes & Fidget”, with the browser game of the same name, which has collected over 15 million players worldwide.
Various commissions in the computer games sector with well-known companies (KingART – Book of unwritten Tales 2, Bethesda Softworks, Riot Games and others) were not left out.
He has also remained true to his passion, comics, and has been publishing some of his projects on his website marvcomics.com since 2012.
For one of the most successful Let’s Players and YouTube great Gronkh (over 4 million subscribers) Marvin illustrates among other things the bi-weekly podcast “Start & Select”.
With Gronkh, Pandorya, PhunkRoyal and Liza Grimm he is part of a live Pen & Paper event on Twitch called HORDE since 2021, which became the most watched Pen & Paper on Twitch. As a result, together with story writer and game director Liza Grimm, he captured the events of the table in two comic books so far. Horde – The First Age Volume 1 “Quest Before the Feast” and Horde – The First Age Volume 2 “What Heroes Do for Heroism” achieved Amazon bestseller status and, according to “Book Report,” Volume 1 was the best-selling comic in December 2022.
