Elfie Donnelly is an Austrian-British author who grew up in Vienna.
She is the winner of the German Youth Literature Prize and the Grimme Prize, but in addition to award-worthy, engaging books, she is best known for creating the characters “Benjamin Blümchen”, “Bibi Blocksberg” and “Elea Eluanda”.
The stories about these three iconic characters have sold millions of cassettes, CDs and books, which were and are not only present in children’s rooms in German-speaking countries, but also still have a huge fan base among adults.
The author has two grown-up sons, three grandchildren and lives and works in Ibiza.
She will be visiting us on both days of VIECC24 in November and will be represented by her character Elea Eluanda.
