What is the VIECC® DACH Cosplay Cup?
With this new Cosplay Cup, we want to find the best cosplay teams together with our partner conventions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In each country, 3 teams will be sought via cosplay contests until the Vienna Comic Con 2026.
These 9 teams will then perform at the Grande Finale of Vienna Comic Con 2026.

Together with our partner conventions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, we are looking for the best cosplayers at our VIECC® DACH Cosplay Cup.
At VIECC® 2025, you can be the first team to qualify for the final.
We are entering the second preliminary round! Every new format goes through its trial-and-error phases, which is why we decided to hold another qualifying round this year. In particular, there was a strong interest in solo performances, which is now also a possibility!
We have summarized the most important rules and prices for you here. The most important key points:
- Participants may take part solo or in pairs.
- The performance must be in German and between 3 – 5 minutes long.
- Video, music and pre-recorded audio tracks are very welcome to be used. Handheld or headset microphones are also available.
- Costumes must be 50% self-made.
- The evaluation consists of 60% performance and 40% costume.
- The cosplays must originate from an existing medium.
- Props and props are permitted as long as they do not leave any dirt behind (e.g. confetti, glitter, slime, etc.)
- Residence in DACH countries.
We are looking for the first teams for the DACH final!
Take part in the VIECC® DACH qualification at VIECC® 2025!
On Sunday of the Vienna Comic Con 2025 the first qualification for our DACH Contest will take place. As a cosplayer or cosplay duo you can take part in this competition and convince the VIECC® audience and the jury of your performance.
The first team to qualify will receive prize money and an invitation to the final. Take part, show us your cosplay and your performance!
1st place DACH qualification 2025
- Prize money of 600,- €
- VIECC® DACH Qualification Trophy.
- Con tickets for the VIECC® 2026.
- Travel within Austria to the VIECC 2026.
- Overnight stay in the VIECC partner hotel during VIECC 2026[1].

Information about the VIECC® DACH Cosplay Qualification 2025.
Here you can find the rules for the contest.
Each team must register via the registration form and may only take part in the competition with a self-made costume.
All contestants must portray a pop culture character or element from comics, movies, TV series, video games, anime, manga or fantasy.
The performance must be at least 3 minutes long and may not be longer than 5 minutes.
