Lucy Martin is a British actress best known for her role as Queen Ingrid in the History Channel television series “Vikings”. She also played Penny in the television series “Riviera”

Lucy was born in Solihull in the West Midlands. She attended a local secondary school in Knowle until the age of 16, when she was awarded a scholarship to attend the musical theater course at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts and landed a role in “Dirty Dancing” in London’s West End at the age of 17. She then toured the world with “Mamma Mia” and returned to the West End at the age of 21 to play the role of Lorraine in “Jersey Boys”.

After performing mainly as a dancer and singer on many different stages, Lucy concentrated entirely on acting. Her first television role was as Penny in the series “Riviera”. Shortly afterwards, Lucy was offered the role of Ingrid in the TV series “Vikings”. Since the end of “Vikings”, she has appeared in several feature films and series.
