Craig Parker is a New Zealand actor.
He began his career as an actor in television. Since the 1990s, he has been best known for his role as Guy Warner in the New Zealand soap opera Shortland Street. He also had various guest appearances in occasional episodes of series such as Xena – The Warrior Princess and Young Hercules. From 2001 to 2004, Parker played Alistair Kingsley in the New Zealand series Mercy Peak, one of the leading roles. In the film industry, Parker became best known for the role of the Elven warrior Haldir, which he played in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) and The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002). In 2009, he played another supporting role in the horror film Underworld: Rise of the Lycans.
After 2003, Parker shifted his focus back to television and has since been able to take on recurring roles in various US productions. Notable roles include Darken Rahl in the fantasy series Legend of the Seeker (2008-2010) and the roles of Claudius Glaber and Lord Stéphane Narcisse in the two historical drama series Spartacus (2010-2012) and Reign (2014-2017). From 2018 to 2019, he was part of the cast of the fantasy series Charmed, a reboot of Charmed – Charmed Witches.
